Workshop: Making Mummer Music

Time: 1:00-3:00 PM

Get to know the style and history of Mummer String Band performance and learn to play a simple, classic Mummer song. Parts for saxophone and strings will be available. Some musical instrument experience is encouraged.

Led By:

Thor McLaughlin is a saxophonist who has served as the music director and arranger for Uptown String Band for over 15 years. Thor has contributed to studio sessions with artists, including Mitski, Quinn Hedges, and the Hulu film Low Tide. He has taught music at Archbishop Wood, Highland, and Bensalem High Schools. He is joined by music educator Miles Cingolani.
